This range covers key blanks, remote transmitters, fobs, remote start components and the immobiliser parts behind them.
A replacement fob has to match the frequency and the button layout the vehicle's receiver expects, and most need to be programmed to the vehicle before they will start it. Cut keys are cut to the vehicle's keyway; where the vehicle uses a transponder chip, the chip is part of the key and has to be programmed as well.
Keep the original fob until the replacement is proven working. Once a new transmitter is paired, some vehicles drop the old one from memory, and that is a difficult position to recover from without a second working key.
